Healthcare is probably one of the most important pillars on which the socio-economic well-being of a society depends. A healthy society not only has better standard of life, it has direct correlation with the economic growth of a nation. India has made vast progress in the field of healthcare. From being a famine and disease struct nation at the onset of independence, India has emerged as a powerhouse in pharmaceutical. Indian doctors are among the best in globally and India para-medical staff are in great demand worldwide.
However, healthcare still does not get its deserved share in the GDP. Moreover, being a concurrent subject, there is often some shortfall on the part of states, especially at the primary and secondary levels. PNE Society has incorporated healthcare as a focus area since the very beginning.
Over a span of two decades, PNE Society has conducted multiple health camps and awareness drives. It has also worked in the areas of family planning, geriatric care, preventive strategies and disease control, especially in disaster struck and poorer districts on the nation.
